Paulo Dybala of Juventus is expected to be one of the most valuable free agents available this summer. And if he does leave Turin, the 28-year-old is expected to be in high demand.
Dybala will not sign a new contract with the Serie A club on the terms they have set, according to Fabrizio Romano, and he will now begin talks with interested parties. As a result, he will depart the club following a seven-year stint with his current employers.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to a number of major European clubs. According to 90min, he has been offered the chance to join a number of important Premier League clubs ahead of next season, including Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in London.
Nonetheless, if Dybala's earlier statements are to be believed, the Argentine would like to join one of two other European giants, one of which is Manchester City, his domestic rival.
In 2015, Dybala told Guerin Sportivo, via the Express, that when he plays PlayStation, he always chooses Barcelona or Manchester City. "One of my ambitions is to play for one of those clubs one day."
Understandably, Dybala made that statement a long time ago, and he may have a different perspective on his career path now, especially as he prepares to negotiate one of his final large salaries as a professional footballer. As a result, interested clubs will not be put off, and whomever ends up signing him will be a far better team as a result.
